Tales from Jes

Narrating Travels and Life

About

GET TO KNOW ME

Hello there! In 2016, I left my tropical country in Asia and started studying in Europe. I began traveling then, finding myself suddenly in a new place with so much to discover. That’s also when I created this blog to keep track of my steps, my own travel journal.

WHY START A BLOG?

Reading a post I wrote and then thinking back to that Pizza in Naples I couldn’t move on from, or that heart-stealing sunset in Barcelona I once witnessed… that was the original idea. But along with that I wanted to let people know that travelling doesn’t always mean you need to drop everything else. It’s an escape- doesn’t mean it has to be your only reality. I’m no expert wanderer. I’m still learning too, but hey- this is me; and I want to cast a very much ordinary person venturing off to the World.

HOW DO YOU TRAVEL?

This isn’t a life of splendour, booking first class and eating breakfast buffets. I am a full-time student in Europe, travelling with discount flights and staying in plain hostels. I’m happy nonetheless, getting to see new places, know more people, hear their stories. And now I have a chance to tell my odysseys, my very own stories.
